The theme for Bec & Bridge‘s show at MBFWA 2016 was ‘Indian Summer’, and to compliment this, Redken‘s Hair Director Alan White created a windswept ponytail for a look of effortless, undone texture and movement.
The feminine look was created with Guts 10 Volume Spray Foam. Says Alan, “The ethereal, textured ponytail I created for the Bec & Bridge show was inspired by the warm, balmy nights of an Indian Summer. Wind Blown 05 Dry Finishing Spray was used to create the raw energy and sensual mood.“

How to recreate this look:
1. On towel-dried hair, apply Guts 10 Volume Spray Foam and Rootful 06 Root Lifting Spray. Finger dry, following the natural flow and movement of the hair to create natural texture and fly-aways at the hairline.
2. Just before the hair is completely dry, finish off with a round bristle brush to polish and create soft movement.
3. Using a medium sized tong, create natural kinks, bumps and dents to and enhance the existing texture.
4. Layer a few drops of Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine with Satinwear 02 Prepping Blow Dry Lotion at a ratio 1:3. This will provide moisture and create a subtle sheen.
5. Apply Wind Blown 05 Dry Finishing Spray to the roots and mid-lengths, section by section to amplify the movement. Blow-dry to enhance the texture.
6. Loosely pull hair into a high ponytail just below the crown. Ensure some pieces of hair fall out of from the pony before securing with a Bungee elastic.
7. Finish with Wind Blown 05 Dry Finishing Spray for ultimate windswept allure.
